Statistics: Business confidence falls in mining, processing in Mar

MOSCOW, Mar 26 (PRIME) – Russia’s March business confidence index fell by 0.7 percentage points in the mining and by 0.3 percentage points in the processing industry, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Friday.

“The index of business confidence, reflecting the generalized state of business activity, in March 2021 amounted to -0.7% in mining; -0.3% in manufacturing,” the service said.

At the same time, the economic situation is considered favorable by 10% of mining firms and satisfactory by 74% of managers, in manufacturing by 10% and 75%, respectively.

Improvement of the economic situation in the next six months is expected by 18% of mining respondents, in manufacturing 28%.
